Photographer, adventurer and sailor David Thoreson has made multiple voyages to the high latitudes, including the Northwest Passage. In a conversation with Cruising World editors Herb McCormick and Mark Pillsbury, he talks about the Arctic today and he and McCormick, who were shipmates on one Northwest Passage adventure, swap stories.
