An enhanced MCO will be imposed in Tawau prison from Sept 11 till Sept 23, affecting inmates, prison officers as well as their families, announced Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
The Defence Minister made that announcement on Thursday, adding that during this period, visitation will not be allowed.
Ismail Sabri also said there is no need for the people of Tawau to be concerned about Covid-19 cases in the district as the cases are only confined to the prison and the chances of it spreading to the community are limited.
