Two thousand years old Buddhist chambers have been found during excavations in Vadnagar, the hometown of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Four walls of two meters high and 1 meter wide have also been found. Officials of the Department of Archeology have speculated to be a Buddhist vihara here. Earlier, the remains of the third and fourth century Buddhist stupa and a seventh-eighth century human skeleton were also found recently.
प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के गृहनगर वडनगर में खुदाई के दौरान 2 हजार साल पुराने दो बौद्ध कक्ष मिले हैं। इनकी दो मीटर ऊंची और 1 मीटर चौड़ी चार दीवारें भी मिली हैं। पुरातत्व विभाग के अधिकारियों ने यहां बौद्ध विहार होने का अनुमान लगाया है। इससे पहले हाल ही में तीसरी व चौथी सदी के बौद्ध स्तूप के अवशेष और सातवीं-आठवीं सदी का एक मानव कंकाल भी मिला था।
