The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) was permitted by the law to disclose high-profile audio recordings back in January.
In a parliamentary reply, De facto Law Minister Takiyuddin Hassan said this was done through the discretionary power accord to the graft buster.
The minister was responding to a question from Tanjong Karang MP Noh Omar on MACC’s level of integrity, credibility, and professionalism in releasing the audio clips.
