Prosecution withdraws appeal against man's conviction, jail sentence over death of cosplayer

The conviction and 22-year jail sentence imposed on self-employed Poon Wai Hong by the Court of Appeal for causing the death of teenage cosplay enthusiast Ng Yuk Tim has been upheld.
This was after deputy public prosecutor Datuk Nazran Mohd Sham informed the Federal Court’s three-member panel that the prosecution was withdrawing its appeal against the appellate court’s decision.
