A special task force to prevent environmental crimes will be set up to ensure such crimes are quickly dealt with.
Environment and Water Minister Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man says the elite task force will be in operation as early as October as the government is committed to act against environmental perpetrators.
The task force will involve the Department of Environment, Water Services Commission (SPAN), Biosafety Department and the police.
