Talented TV star Drashti Dhami who impressed everyone with her impeccable acting skills in tele serials such as Dill Mill Gayye, Geet – Hui Sabse Parayi, Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon and Silsila is all set to mark her digital debut in Nikhil Advani’s upcoming Hotstar series Moghul. The series is based on rise and fall of Mughal Empire through generations from Babur to Aurangzeb, reportedly, Nikhil had already shot the pilot episode last year with Diya Mirza as the lead but according to sources Diya abruptly left the show due to personal reason but Drashti will be filling up Diya’s up shoes to play the character of Khanzada Begum, while Ronit Roy has been cast as Babur and Shabana Azmi will portray Esan Daulat. Drashti was supposed to start shooting for Moghul in February this year but the global pandemic ruined all the plans and it seems it won’t start for quite some time.
